Understand printing principles and improve print quality
1. The principle of printing solder paste:
1) Solder paste and patch glue are thixotropic fluids and are viscous. When the scraper moves forward at a certain speed and angle, a certain pressure is generated on the solder paste, and the solder paste is pushed to roll in front of the scraper to generate the pressure required to inject the solder paste into the mesh or the leak hole, and the viscous friction force of the solder paste is made. The solder paste is sheared at the intersection of the squeegee and the stencil, and the shearing force reduces the viscosity of the solder paste, so that the solder paste is smoothly injected into the mesh or the leak hole.
Scraper + solder paste
----The solder paste rolls forward before the squeegee, and the solder paste rolls in front of the squeegee to generate the pressure to inject the solder paste into the opening.

-----The pressure that causes the solder paste to be injected into the leak hole-----the shear force causes the solder paste to be injected into the leak hole

2) scraper material, shape and printing method
a) scraper material

1 rubber (polyurethane) scraper
The rubber blade has a certain flexibility for screen printing and stencil printing where the surface of the stencil is not flat, for example, by thinning (concave). The hardness of the rubber scraper: Shore 75 degrees ~ 85 degrees.

2 metal scraper
The metal scraper is wear-resistant and has a long service life (about 100,000 times, about 10 times that of polyurethane). It is used for metal stencil printing with good flatness; it is suitable for printing with various pitches and densities, especially for narrow pitch and high density printing, and has long service life and wide application.

b) blade shape and structure
The shape of the rubber scraper is diamond and trailing.
Diamond-shaped scraper - is a 10mm × 10mm square polyurethane sandwiched in the middle of the bracket, at a 45° angle. The diamond scraper can be used for two-way printing with a single scraper. The scraper can skip the solder paste at the end of each stroke. The amount of solder paste of the diamond scraper is not easy to control and easily contaminates the scraper head.
Trailing scraper - generally in the form of a double scraper. The angle of the scraper is generally 45° to 60°.



(c) Printing method
1 unidirectional printing (scraper can only be printed in one direction)
In the unidirectional printing, one scraper is used for printing, and the other scraper is used as a returning material;
2 bidirectional printing
When two-way printing, two scrapers are alternately reciprocated.
